Islampur College of Education is basically a Teacher’s Training Institution. It is situated beside N.H. 31 in the beautiful, serene, natural atmosphere at Aliganj, P.O. & P.S. Islampur, Dist. Uttar Dinajpur, W.B. 733202. The College is well communicated by roads and Railways. From the College Islampur town is 2 K.M and the Railway Station is about 3 K.M. Islampur Sub-Division is educationally under-developed area. To fulfil the demand of the local people we are interested to set up the said college. This is the only Teacher’s Training College in Islampur Sub-Division and as a result the local people will get the benefit. The main object of this institution is to provide quality education to the students who are interested to take teaching as their profession. The institution is run by a group of experienced and skill full Professors trying continuously to enrich and develop the quality of education. Modern technology and equipments are also used. Computer education facility is available here. There is a well-decorated library with 7000 books to quench the thirst of knowledge of the students. There is a conference room of 2500 sq feet for organising various cultural programmes, seminars. There is also a big play-ground for playing football, Cricket, Volley-ball. Indoor games facility like Table-Tennis, Carrom, Ludo is also available here. There is a canteen with hygienic food facility.
